I am completely in support of a government providing for the health of its citizens. But health insurance companies SUCK in the United States and I am SCARED, Obama!

If your leg breaks or you get cancer or you have a heart attack, you should be able to go to a doctor and get fixed and not have to worry about whether you can afford it, because if you can't, the government's got your back.

So, yay to Obama for working really hard to put that theory into practice. BUT!

Health insurance companies SUCK! in the United States! I pay about a thousand bucks a month out of my own pocket for health insurance, and when I get sick I have to fight that insurance company tooth and nail for coverage.

You have to do mounds of paperwork, spend at least an hour on the phone just to get a live person to talk to you, and even THEN chances are they will STILL find some small print clause that allows them to not pay for basic care even though you give them a thousand dollar a month.

So even though I'm glad that our President is really trying to make sure the citizens of the United States ALL get health care - a basic need ANY civilized country should provide - I'm downright terrified that these sucky companies will have even more power to give me even shittier care than before.

Because insurance companies suck in the United States! Is anyone else, who believes in socialized medicine theoretically, as terrified as I am, realistically? This week let's talk about that.
