Dental Insurance Plans Covering Invisalign

Cigna | Connecting Oral Health to Overall Health

Cigna celebrates American Dental Hygienists' Association National Dental Hygiene Month with a new video that helps customers understand how good oral health can have a positive impact on overall health. The video also describes the Cigna Dental Oral Health Integration Program® and how Cigna customers with certain high-risk medical conditions can get 100% reimbursement for specific dental services associated with those medical conditions.

Oral health isn't just about teeth and gums. For people with chronic conditions, it's about preventing illness. For expectant mothers, good oral health may help protect the unborn baby from pre-term delivery and other complications.

Dr. Hall, director of dental for Cigna says this: "If you have an open sore on your body the size of the palm of your hand, you'd go to the doctor. Severe gum disease throughout the mouth could be almost as bad. It's where you can't easily see it, but it doesn't make it any less of a big problem."
